Barbara Ferullo

I’m an LMHC with over 25 years experience, and a wealth of life experience. I have a private practice in eastern Massachusetts, and have worked with people in mental health centers, schools, colleges, hospitals, and nursing homes. I’m trained in both traditional and trauma therapies, and combine the two.

I specialize in relationship difficulties, anxiety/stress, and panic attacks, trauma/PTSD, self-esteem, career issues, and life transitions.

There’s no one approach that works best for everyone. It’s different strokes for different folks. That said, studies show that a good connection between therapist and client is the most important element.

I try to be sensitive and “tune in” to your concerns, so we can develop a natural, easy, back-and-forth conversation about what’s going on. We use different techniques to help you step back, and be less emotionally torn up by what’s going on.  You can start to understand it differently, and develop better ways to cope with it. We use relaxation/grounding, EFT, Tai Chi exercises, psycho-education, reality therapy, meditation (that we can record on your smart phone), “parts” work, and coaching.

And sometimes we laugh.
