Carol O’Dowd, MPA, M.Div., RP, Prajna Healing Arts
President, Colorado Association of Psychotherapists
Carol uses western and eastern approaches to support adults on their journey through transitions and to ‘restory’ their trauma, anxiety and destructive emotions. Her graduate counseling coursework is supplemented with training and certifications in Japanese Psychology, Applied Existential Psychotherapy, Mindfulness Instruction and Spiritual Care. Carol served as a volunteer for half a year in the Kerobokan Prison, Indonesia, providing counseling and opening up a Buddhist Temple while getting a loved one out of the prison. Her workshops and retreats in the United States, Thailand and Indonesia consistently result in participants taking techniques back to work and/or home. For 15 years she supplemented her work as a Buddhist Priest with her counseling work. For the past 6 years she has helped clients manage life transitions and discover effective ways for managing stress, anxiety and trauma.
