About Me

Dr. Ross received her Bachelor’s Degree at the University of Virginia. After graduation, she worked as a mental health associate at the Menninger Clinic, a residential psychiatric facility located in Houston. Dr. Ross then went on to pursue a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology at the University of Houston, where she was heavily involved in research and clinical training. She received several financial awards as a graduate student including the Presidential Graduate Fellowship and the C.L.A.S.S. Research Assistant Stipend Award. Dr. Ross completed her internship year at the University of Texas Health Science Center-San Antonio. After obtaining her doctoral degree, she pursued a postdoctoral fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Ross worked at TIRR Memorial Hermann, a physical rehabilitation hospital, after completion of her fellowship. She provided psychological treatment and support for spinal cord patients on the inpatient unit and chronic pain and insomnia clients in the outpatient clinic. She was heavily involved in program development, including the development of client treatment manuals, and was promoted to coordinator of all outpatient psychotherapy services prior to transitioning to private practice.

Dr. Ross is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in the State of Texas working in private practice. She has additional credentialing through the National Register of Health Service Psychologists and is a member of the American Psychological Association, Texas Psychological Association, Houston Psychological Association, Association of Cognitive and Behavioral Therapies, and the Society for Behavioral Sleep Medicine. Her primary areas of expertise are Health Psychology and Trauma. She specializes in sleep disorders including insomnia, pain management including headaches and migraines, adjustment to chronic illness, trauma, stress management, relationship issues, and adjustment to major life events. She utilizes empirically supported treatments, meaning psychological treatments with strong research support for reducing psychological symptoms. Her approach is collaborative and treatments are tailored to the individualized needs of her clients. Dr. Ross is an Assistant Professor at Baylor College of Medicine and a consultant at Houston Methodist and Advantage Point Behavioral.
