Ellen Washenberger

My name is Ellen Washenberger. I graduated from the University of South Dakota in 1989 with my Bachelor's Degree in psychology. I worked in group care and completed my Master's Degree from Northern State University in 1993. I have been a licensed therapist since 1995. I have practiced in community mental health settings, psychiatric residential treatment settings and most recently in a faith based community setting. I am currently in private practice and live in Aberdeen, South Dakota. My practice is Destinations Counseling and I offer individual and family counseling as well as domestic violence classes for women. I have served on the Advisory Council for South Dakota Advocacy services on two occasions and have been a past member of the NAMI board. I enjoy working with youth and adults and hope to help others reach their potential.
