You say everything is “fine”, but you know it’s not. 2020 has been absolutely overwhelming and now the holidays are fast approaching. You’re looking for a space where you’ll feel comfortable and safe, so that you can be free to express yourself. Maybe you’re not even sure how to do that. You just know that you need something. Therapy can be that something. I'm here to tell you that taking the step to look for and contact a therapist is one of the bravest things you’ll do.
First, we'll work together to identify what you want to change. I’ll work with you to help you learn how to cope with all the challenges life throws at you, how to build and maintain fulfilling relationships, how to find peace in the midst of everything, how to move forward from trauma, and how to be more present so that you can live the life you want.
To create that change, we engage in down-to-earth conversations where we talk about the difficult things that so many folks spend so much time and energy avoiding. To specifically address struggles in your life, I often use Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. EMDR has been proven to be very effective at helping people to significantly reduce symptoms from anxiety, depression, and trauma. I look forward to meeting you soon!
