About Me

My focus is on body-centered psychotherapy (integrating body, mind and spirit); my style is warm, empathic, direct and non-judgmental. I am committed to creating a safe, supportive environment in which your process can deepen and evolve. This occurs with the practice of awareness and acceptance of your inner world and personal truth, and leads to transformation.

I can help you develop mindful, grounded ways of being with yourself and others and learn to bring compassionate presence to your experience. As a guide and facilitator, I work interactively and use various approaches, blending experiential modalities with a focus on the “here and now” of the therapeutic relationship.

I can help you to heal, learn, transform and grow through approaching your life with awareness and compassion. Together we will work to help you appreciate your unique approach to life, to bring to light and strengthen your gifts, and to help you achieve your goals.

As a licensed marriage and family therapist, I have over 20 years of experience in the field of psychology. My training includes HFI Body-Centered Psychotherapy, Voice Dialogue with Drs. Hal and Sidra Stone, EMDR, Neuro-linguistic programming and mindfulness-based meditation. I was on staff with Shakti Gawain for nine years, leading groups and workshops throughout the United States and in Europe. I enjoy working with individual adults and couples, and am certified in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy. Additionally, I have trained with Dan Hughs in attachment-focused family therapy.
