Hi, I’m Kelly. I own a telehealth only private practice where I work with clients from North Carolina and Arizona.
I enjoy working with couples who are experiencing relationship conflict and would like to improve communication skills and increase emotional connection.
I also enjoy working with tweens who need to improve emotional regulation skills such as reducing anxiety or angry outbursts.
I am culturally competent in working with LDS/Mormon clients. I can respect your value system and also consider how your cultural background may be affecting your problem.
I love working with athletes and other individuals who are perfectionistic and are working though issues related to perfectionism, body image, or disordered eating.
My previous career as a special education teacher gives me unique insight into the additional layer of consideration that comes when one or more members of a family have a disability. For example, having a child on the autism spectrum, while delightful in many ways, can bring extra challenges and added stress to parents and siblings.
I have a master’s degree in Family Therapy from Nova Southeastern University, which is a small school located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. When I worked as a therapist in south Florida, I saw families from all over Latin America and the Caribbean, which gave me a great deal of insight into how the culture and family that you come from shapes your life experience.
