Lauren Whatley

Lauren is a counselor serving the Charleston area. She received her master’s degree from Regent University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

I practice from an integrative holistic approach. I value the entire being (body, soul, and spirit). I have a person-centered and existential theoretical leaning with the incorporation of cognitive behavioral modalities. I am a trauma-informed counselor. My previous experience includes working with adults in an faith-based outpatient setting and young boys at a residential treatment facility. I am trained to work with a wide range of mental health issues. I greatly value the diversity in other cultures and individual backgrounds. I have education and experience in spiritual development from a Christ-centered worldview. Such topics can be incorporated into our sessions upon request.

I grew up in the Lowcountry most of my life. I enjoy creative writing, kayaking, surfing, connecting with friends, and exploring the outdoors in my spare time. I believe creativity and movement to be helpful expressions to bolster healing. I look forward to partnering with you during this time in your life.
