About Me

I’ve been a therapist for 26 years, blending traditional psychotherapy with neuroscience and mindfulness practices to support my clients' process of integrating mind and body. I have studied extensively the latest developments in neuroscience and how we can use these findings to develop skills to reduce anxiety, alleviate depression, and face our challenges with a renewed perspective.

In addition to being a licensed Mental Health Counselor, I have extensive experience as a Mindfulness and somatic practitioner. I enhanced my knowledge of the mind/body connection in several significant ways, including intensive studying of attachment theory at The Kutenai Institute of Integral Studies three-year program with Myrna Martin. I also attended a three-year Somatic Experiencing training and have assisted several trainings. I have presented on all the above topics to many organizations including: National Counselor Association, Department of Families and Children Services, Adult Education, The Meadows Alumni, West Palm Beach Counselors Association, Behavioral Health and  various treatment centers and agencies in South Florida. I have taught and presented at Western Connecticut State University and Fairfield University. I have studied mindfulness practices and eastern philosophy for many years and I continue to teach these skills.

I received my BA from Skidmore College and an MA degree in Counseling from Fairfield University. I have trained for years as a body worker, including two cranial-sacral programs, one with Upledger Institute and the other with the Franklyn Sills Biodynamic program.
